This Thursday (21 May) sees the fourth in our series of digital Q&As take place, created to support our business community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This week, we focus on rural issues brought about by the pandemic and ask the question: ‘What impact will the Coronavirus pandemic have on our rural economy?’.
Our panel, chaired by radio presenter Howard Bentham, is set to include:
- Michael Valenzia – Country Land and Business Association (CLA) regional director
- Matthew Rymer – Happerley founder and director
- Nigel Tipple – OxLEP chief executive
We will discuss the initial impact COVID-19 has had on the agricultural sector, the supportive measures that have been put in-place by Government for rural businesses and communities, as well as how the pandemic has added to pressures brought about via flooding, climate change and Brexit.
We are currently welcoming questions through our social media channels using the hashtag #OxLEPQ&A.
Head to our YouTube channel from 12 noon this Thursday (21 May) to watch the latest in this series.
