Businesses within close proximity of the Oxford Flood Alleviation Scheme – as well as the city’s wider business community – maybe aware of an upcoming public inquiry, held to examine a Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) of the scheme.
Ahead of the inquiry, businesses potentially impacted by the scheme are being encouraged to provide their views of it and what its implementation will mean for their respective organisations.
A pre-inquiry meeting is being held on 21 September and it would be helpful for those leading the inquiry to know ahead of this meeting the position of businesses, in particular those benefiting from the reduction of flood risk who are situated close to the scheme.
If you are in a position to do this, you are being encouraged to contact the Environment Agency at the earliest opportunity.
If you are unaware of the scheme, the short film below gives you an overview as to what the scheme is aiming to achieve and prevent.
