Business leaders from across Oxfordshire are being encouraged to sign-up to a key event on 16 June, focusing on sustainability and a green Oxford-Cambridge Arc.
With the Government commited to developing a spatial framework for the Arc, there is a unique opportunity to fundamentally look at the approach taken across the region regarding the development of sustainable and connected places.
With considerable expertise in clean technologies and many great examples of how to create sustainable communities in Oxfordshire (for example; the UK's first eco-town at NW Bicester and the EP:50 award-winning Springfield Meadows) there's the opportunity for the Arc to use this expertise and become a world-leader in sustainability.
Sign-up to the Oxford-Cambridge Arc's webinar: 'Mobilising the Green Arc: Can mobility redesign our places?', which takes place on 16 June between 9.30am and 11am.
Topics to be discussed include:
- What role does mobility have in creating a better future for us?
- How do we move from discussing ‘future’ mobility and get on with the practical actions to build what we need in today’s infrastructure?
- Can the Arc be the place where we do things differently?
