Yesterday (8 April), the Chancellor announced further financial support measures for businesses – this time for those operating in the charity sector.
Charities across the UK will receive a £750 million support package to ensure they can continue their vital work during the coronavirus outbreak.
Oxfordshire is home to hundreds of charities, supporting a variety of different causes. It has a significant role to play – not just as key part of our local economy – but even more so, right at this critical time, helping those who need urgent support as a direct result of Coronavirus.
Tens of thousands of charities providing vital services will benefit from cash grants to ensure they can meet increased demand as a result of the virus as well as continuing their day-to-day activities supporting those in need.
