The Government announced this week that students in England will receive teacher assessed grades for GCSE and A Level results this summer.
Find out more in this announcement from 17 August
This student guide gives full details about how results have been awarded and how to access further information and support.
In the guide, Qfqual states: “The grades you receive this year will carry the same value as any other year, so you can compete on a level playing field with students from previous and future years.”
Here at OxLEP Skills, we know that while grades are important, it is crucial for young people to also gain vital workplace skills that are highly valued by employers - perhaps now more than ever. These skills, along with work and life experience, will help to make them more employable as they enter the world of work.
Our work with the Careers and Enterprise Company supports schools to bring employers and students together to raise awareness of the opportunities available in Oxfordshire that young people can aspire to. Our work experience service, currently being redesigned to meet current and future requirements, helps schools find meaningful work experience placements.
To help support this year’s school leavers, OxLEP Skills is holding #OxCareersLive social media events on A Levels and GCSE results days to provide links to support for those receiving their results, help with applications and suggestions for ways to identify currently skills and gain new ones.

OxLEP would like to wish all students receiving results this summer the very best of luck!
