The Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership responds to yesterday’s announcement (12 September) on Highways England’s preferred route for the Oxford to Cambridge Expressway.
Highways England yesterday announced that Corridor B is their preferred route. More information can be found on their website.
Nigel Tipple, Chief Executive of OxLEP, said: “Working with partners, we will be reflecting on this announcement in the coming weeks and reviewing what it really means for the county – as well as the wider region – in consultation with the Oxfordshire Growth Board partners and local authorities.
“As a business-led organisation, we are keen to explore the potential opportunities arising from the identified corridor for both our business community and wider-UK economy.
“We will continue to engage with Highways England – along with Growth Board partners – to understand the timetable for the project, now that the preferred corridor has been announced.”
