Last week saw the Department for International Trade hold its latest awareness week, International Trade Week, which aimed to reach businesses ready to find new markets beyond the UK.
Working with the Department for International Trade, OxLEP remains committed to helping Oxfordshire-based businesses to understand and even seize on potential international trade opportunities.
The week will undoubtedly have helped many to understand what next steps they may need to take.
In what is often a complex and challenging route-to-market, International Trade Week aimed to demonstrate to businesses the key fundamentals behind selling globally, as well as helping them to understand the investment potential in the UK itself – in particular, helping companies to connect via trade industry experts.
It is our aim to support Oxfordshire companies with such ambition and signpost them to solid advice and support, ensuring that their business is able to maximise potential and create the confidence needed to take the next steps to grow their company via exporting abroad.
If you missed the awareness week, you can still access excellent resources that will help you on your own trade journey. Just head to the Department for International Trade’s 'Made in the UK, sold to the world' website.
Themes for International Trade Week included:
- How to trade
- Green trade and finding investment
- Trade as a force for good
- Finding your market – global opportunities
