Following yesterday evening’s announcement from the Prime Minister of increased, additional measures now in-place to prevent the spread of Coronavirus, supporting our business community has never been more important.
During this unprecedented time – as the local enterprise partnership for Oxfordshire – it’s vital that we signpost our businesses to the correct, relevant information, helping you to operate as safely and efficiently as possible, whilst remaining productive.
Essentially, we are absolutely here for you.
Coronavirus will very likely cause disruption to businesses of all sizes for the foreseeable future. With this in mind, we have a created a specific section on our website, providing you with the latest Government support and guidance, helping you to make positive decisions and remain resilient.
We recommend you visit our website regularly to take a look at the latest information.
In addition, we are currently evaluating our own delivery and business support plans to ensure that we can provide you with the guidance that you need.
A number of OxLEP Business workshops have already been held successfully via digital means and all future OxLEP events will be also hosted digitally until further notice.
We are also in the process of creating a series of ‘digital’ business Q&As too, which we will announce in due course. We will continue to provide you with further information via the ‘News’ section on our website and offer updates through vlogs and blogs too.
I would also encourage you to follow us on social media – in particular, our various channels on Twitter and LinkedIn – where we will do our very best to signpost you to relevant information:
- OxLEP Twitter
- OxLEP Business Twitter
- OxLEP Skills Twitter
- OxLEP LinkedIn
- OxLEP Business LinkedIn
- OxLEP Skills LinkedIn
Like many businesses, Coronavirus has impacted our organisation – however, all of our teams are now working remotely, at home, and are contactable.
I would like to end by saying we believe our economy is well-positioned to react in a measured way to the challenges brought about by the Coronavirus. And as OxLEP, we are determined to play a key role in the county’s response.
For now, please continue to follow the new guidance that has been put in-place and above all else, stay safe.
Thank you.
Nigel Tipple - Chief Executive
