North Oxfordshire businesses came together earlier this month for the launch of the Cherwell Business Awards – set to enter its seventh year.
Having established a solid reputation within the North Oxfordshire business community, the awards – endorsed by OxLEP – showcase and celebrate the capabilities of individuals and organisations working within the Cherwell District.
A launch event was held on 16 November at Norbar Torque Tools Ltd in Banbury, where businesses gathered to hear details of the 2018 awards.
A newly-developed Cherwell Business Awards website means nominations and applications can be quickly and easily completed online, which the organisers hope will encourage even more entries than in previous years.
Mike Hawkins – Managing Director of the Hawkins Group (pictured) – spoke about what it means to be a winner, not only of the Cherwell Business Awards, but also how Hawkins Group went on to be triple award winners at this year’s Oxfordshire Business Awards.
The 2018 award categories are as follows:
•The A2Dominion New Business Award
•The NatWest Small Business Award
•The Bicester Vision, Bicester Chamber and Wednesday Business Club Micro Business Award
•The Spratt Endicott Solicitors Established Business Award
•The Ellacotts Business Person of the Year Award
•The Oxford Innovation Young Business Person of the Year Award
•The Oxford AHSN Workplace Wellbeing Award
•The Begbroke Science Park Innovation Award
•The Bicester Village Charity and Community Award
The Norbar Overall Cherwell Winner Award is chosen from the finalists of any of the other nine categories.
The deadline for applications is 16 February and winners will be announced at an awards gala dinner – to be held at Heythrop Park on 11 May.
