OxLEP Business – the business support arm of the Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership – are calling upon Cherwell District-based companies to complete a pre-qualifying process within the next 24 hours, as a key deadline approaches for a new significant fund.
The Cherwell Business Adaptation Fund – created to support businesses in the north of county to move into an effective renewal phase, following the COVID-19 pandemic – was launched earlier this month by OxLEP Business.
This new scheme – which is being delivered and led by OxLEP Business on behalf of Cherwell District Council – is set to play a key role in ensuring that Cherwell-based organisations are able to run as efficiently as possible and remain productive, particularly in-light of the pandemic.
The fund is now closing in on its deadline to receive all pre-qualifying details from businesses interested in benefiting from the fund, which aims to support eligible companies through grants, ranging between £5,000 and £20,000 per business for capital and/or revenue-based projects.
The Cherwell Business Adaptation Fund follows-on from previous grants and significant levels of support and programmes delivered by the OxLEP Business.
Between April 2020 and August 2021, OxLEP Business engaged with 2,670 businesses – following the emergence of Coronavirus – and provided over 12,000 hours of support during the same period.
Applicants are required to complete the pre-qualifying process before 5pm tomorrow (27 May) with the closing date for full applications set for 5pm on 7 June.
Earlier this month, interested businesses were invited to understand the fund in more detail via a special webinar – key areas of the webinar included; how to apply to the fund, eligibility and compliance and best practice.
