As we all know, Coronavirus has created an unprecedented situation and will likely cause disruption to businesses of all sizes for the foreseeable future – as Deputy Chair, you will play a pivotal role alongside a strong mix of private and public sector non-executive representatives on our Board, supporting our business community at this most critical of times
We believe that Oxfordshire can play a significant role in supporting the UK’s economic response to COVID-19. As Deputy Chair, you will champion one the country’s most-vibrant and exciting economic areas. The county is home to some of the world’s most-innovative companies, respected academics, passionate entrepreneurs and nurturing business organisations – our goal is to accelerate the county’s economic recovery too for the benefit of both our residents here in the county, as well as ‘UK PLC’.
The Deputy Chair role will be front-and-centre to this ambition.
We also believe it’s vital for our Board to represent all communities in Oxfordshire – therefore, we are particularly keen to hear from senior business people representing the county’s BAME community.
