This webinar is the next in the series for OxLEP's Start Up Club.
This webinar is being delivered for the OxLEP Start-Up Club by SYLO Beyond HR to support Oxfordshire businesses to start, thrive and grow.
HR experts Heather and Rachel will be providing an overview of the key HR considerations that any start-up or early stage business should be thinking about.
- Start - Setting up HR essentials such as contracts, policies, payroll etc.
- Thrive - Organisation structure, recruitment and onboarding
- Grow - Talent development, performance management and succession planning
There will be a summary of the employee lifecycle and advice on what activities to outsource to HR specialists.
Q&A session to finish.
The workshop will be focused on practical advice and jargon free.
Presenter biographies:
Heather Stanbury has worked with SYLO since 2015. She is a Chartered Member of the CIPD with extensive experience working in HR management roles in growth orientated SME’s, having started her career in large corporates over 20 years ago and in more recent years worked in HR Consultancy with SYLO across a wide range of sectors. Heather delivers pragmatic business solutions through all aspects of HR management with a particular focus on employee relations, employee engagement, performance management, policy development, TUPE and compliance.
Rachel Browne has been with SYLO since November 2018. She started her HR career almost 20 years ago, working initially as a HR Administrator and, over the years progressing to HR Business Partner. Rachel has worked for a range of different organisations of varying sizes through her career from SME’s, Not for Profit, right through to large corporates such as BP. As a HR Generalist, she is able to work across all areas of HR but particularly enjoys employee relations and working with clients on talent management and workforce planning. Rachel is an Associate member of the CIPD having completed the CIPD level 7 post graduate diploma in Human Resources Management.
