OxLEP Annual Event 2020
Join us for this special, live online event as we reflect on an unprecedented year not just for Oxfordshire, national and global economies – following the outbreak of COVID-19 – but also, the role we have played as the Local Enterprise Partnership for Oxfordshire.
During our annual event, we will update our key stakeholders on our activities in-light of the pandemic, as well as the commitment and determination we have shown to ensure the county’s businesses are able to run as efficiently as possible and remain productive during this time.
Economies across the world have faced real challenges, including Oxfordshire’s economy. However, we are home to some of the world’s most-innovative companies, respected academics, passionate entrepreneurs and nurturing business organisations. Our goal has been to support an accelerated economic recovery in Oxfordshire for the benefit of both our residents and the wider UK economy.
The past 12 months also saw us launch the £4.3bn Oxfordshire Investment Plan, which calls upon the UK Government and international investors to back a portfolio of programmes and projects created – not only to support the economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic – but also trigger significant job openings and commercial activity which will accelerate opportunities in the county and the rest of the UK.
At this event, we will hear from a number of key note speakers, both from our own team and from across Oxfordshire’s business community. You will also get the opportunity to raise questions with OxLEP representatives, leading on a wide-variety of business support and skills development programmes.
