- Coronavirus business support
Since the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak in early-2020, we have worked hard to ensure that Oxfordshire businesses have received key support whether via OxLEP, our local authority partners or central government.
Here, we provide you with a useful summary of where you can find further pandemic-related business support.
OxLEP support:
OxLEP's provision of critical support has allowed many amongst our business community to become more agile and flexible, whilst also encouraging greater levels of business diversification, particularly in-light of COVID-19.
We're here to help businesses find the support they need. We offer prompt, friendly, impartial advice and will signpost you to the right business support for you and your business by directing you to expert advice and national and local support programmes.
Coronavirus has created an unprecedented situation and will cause concern and disruption to businesses of all sizes for the foreseeable future. Clearly, moving into any further future period of lockdown will be extremely difficult for all businesses and the ability to not only remain productive, but also, remain operational will be a significant challenge.
We will continue to signpost our business community to support resources, helping you to make positive decisions during this time.
We have introduced a number of new programmes and funds in recent times, aimed at providing critical help to businesses, as well as new grant funds, including the Cherwell Business Adaptation Fund.

We also run regular business support events (both digital and in-person) and would encourage you to take a look at our latest events to see if they can support you at this critical time.

Local authority support:
In addition to a number of Coronavirus support packages administered by central Government and associated partners, Oxfordshire businesses could also benefit from specific schemes overseen by the county’s local authorities.
Although much of the local authority support delivered by councils following the pandemic outbreak has now lapsed, we would still encourage you to visit their respective business support sites for the latest information.
South Oxfordshire District Council
Vale of White District Council
West Oxfordshire District Council
Government support:
The government hope that businesses can receive the support they require through their local growth hub (OxLEP Business in this instance) and are encouraging Oxfordshire-based businesses to engage primarily with us when looking for support.
However, they do offer further advice to businesses, including a useful list of other grant schemes and business support programmes your company could benefit from.

Webinars and Q&As:
Throughout the pandemic, we have delivered dozens of online webinars and Q&As, aimed at supporting your business through this difficult economic period.
You can still access these webinars through our OxLEP and OxLEP Business YouTube channels. This also includes a number of business case studies, highlighting our significant support.
