Alexander Reip
Alex is an award-winning tech entrepreneur, with a PhD in nanotechnology from Brunel University, renowned for his expertise in the development and commercialisation of advanced nanomaterials. As a co-founder and CTO of Oxford nanoSystems, he has overseen technology development, investment, and growth for over 10 years.
He is a Chartered Chemist, Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, and a Royal Society Entrepreneur in Residence for Brunel University, offering advice to spin-outs and developing a four-stream process of research, education, commercialisation and living lab for the university's hydrogen strategy.
Alex works with various start-ups in the region, helping them become investment-ready and formulating their technology strategy. He focuses on industries such as nanotechnology, cleantech, biotech, and AI.
He is also a Non-Executive Director of The Net Zero Technology Centre, sitting on the Audit Committee and chairing the Academic Advisory Board, as well as a Parent Governor of North Kidlington School.
